Our Offshore Capability

Whether you work with wind turbines, wave power or oil and gas, we have the capability and experience in the offshore sector to meet your marine needs.

With access to offshore hubs in Aberdeen, Norway, Houston and Australia, offshore vessels account for half of the vessels that we manage.

Our management experience includes, amongst others, PSV’s ROV’s, DSV’s, AHTS and heavy lift/crane vessels.

Our state-of-the-art training operations in India provide a Nautical Institute accredited course offering that includes Dynamic Positioning (DP) and Anchor Handling training. In 2013, over 1,180 delegates attended our offshore courses – nearly 40% of all of our global delegates.

Over 50% of the seafarers we employ are deployed in the offshore sector. The safety of our seafarers and of the environment is paramount, which is why we maintain an exceptional safety record.

 

Our Container/RORO Capability

With a wealth of experience in liner shipping and long-term relationships with a number of reputable customers, our experience in container and RORO shipping is extensive.

With vessels managed from the UK, Europe, and Singapore, container and RORO vessels making up a significant part of the deadweight tonnage of our managed fleet. We understand the importance of keeping your vessel operating to schedule, and our technical superintendent’s work in partnership with customers to ensure that downtime is minimised and operations are undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.

We also maintain a consistent pool of highly-experienced and fully-capable seafarers of a range of nationalities, all of whom are trained to the highest standard for operation within the container/RORO industry.

 

Our Tanker Capability

We understand that all tankers – oil/gas, chemical, product – require only the highest standard of management and crew to ensure continuous and uninterrupted operation.

To support this, we manage a large pool of tanker crew, and through our comprehensive crewing operations ensure that we only crew our tanker vessels with the seafarers who have the relevant skills and experience.

Bulk Carriers :

VGG India Pvt Ltd has experience of crewing bulk carriers of all sizes & types i.e. Handy – Panamax, Aframax and Very large Ore carriers. In today’s demanding & challenging commercial operations where Operators and Owners demand vessel type/size, trading area and cargo carriage experience, VGG is able to provide crew that meets industry / client criteria and perform well.

It is not so un-common to see Charterers demanding crew having experience of specific cargos ( Coal, logs, food grains ) and navigating in certain routes and ports/countries called – VGG India, given adequate notice, is fully geared to find crew with such specific selection criteria and train crew in specific cargo care.  

VGG India Pvt Ltd and associated companies is crewing & managing number of bulk carriers of different sizes , trading worldwide and carrying different cargos.

 

Leisure / Passenger Vessels :  

VGG India has experience of supplying Cabin, Saloon, Marine, F & B, Security, Entertainment and specific purpose crew to prominent Leisure vessel operators for over 12 years. Over the years we have developed a proficient, loyal and motivated pool of Leisure industry crew thus being in the position to mobilise crew at relatively short notice.  

Hotel, F & B and Entertainment crew come with experience of working in the similar field in renowned brand 5-star hotels / Resorts. Additionally where required their skill levels can be re-assessed as per clients requirement. These crew are also well trained in health care, hygiene, food/provision handling & storage, Diet control as applicable/necessary for the job.

All crew speak good English and present themselves as smart, properly dressed and pleasant persons, which is essential for the guest facing crew.
